About Us…

Hello!  My name is Tammy and I’m a fourth-generation fiber artist who loves sharing my passion for wool and fiber arts with everyone I meet.  Whether it’s teaching at a local establishment, at a festival throughout the United States, or bringing my creativity to life in products for shop-owners and shoppers, my goal is to show people the magical, practical, and wondrous ways wool (and sheep) can benefit the lives of those around me.

I host a monthly podcast, 52 Weeks of Sheep, along with a Facebook group to highlight different breeds of sheep, their wool, the people who raise them, and other fiber-related topics.

You can check out the Facebook Group here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/52weeksofsheep

And you can give the podcast a listen here: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/52-weeks-of-sheep/id1724816866

Now, I can add writer and author to the list of passions I love to share.  As someone who has always written in some form or another, (personally and journaling, magazine articles, newspaper articles, even my own newspaper column for a time) I have never felt more called to write than I do at this moment in time.  I’ve never felt more compelled to share my story, lessons, and the stories of others than ever before.  So, I’m working with a book coach and have started the process to writing and publishing my first book.  I hope you’ll continue to check back and see how it’s going.  Until then, here are some of the other things I do…

So, what do I do?

  • I raise sheep and support local Montana woolgrowers.
  • I support local fiber mills who help produce the raw sheep wool into fibers for spinning, felting, and yarn.
  • I hand-dye and blend the wool and yarn and develop products both functional and whimsical for people to use.
  • I educate people about the importance of wool and the many different types of wool and their specific uses in a fun an informative way.
