Description

The Woven Together Cowl is my second design for the ladies at Greycliff Wool Works in Greycliff, Montana.  It represents their roots in weaving along with their value of locally produced wool, and connecting fiber and fiber artists.  This pattern uses their own Greycliff Fingering weight yarn, hand-dyed by Rachel Moberg of Crafted by Locals.  The wool is grown, milled, spun, and dyed in Montana.

In a world that seems to be disconnected in so many ways, this patterns is a reminder of just how intertwined fiber, and our lives are.  The ladies at Greycliff Wool Works are all about bringing people together from near and far.  This cowl is meant to do the same while carrying the values and the essence of Greycliff.

Using basic knitting stitches, the pattern creates a woven basket like effect. This cowl is perfect for cooler evenings when the sun goes down, as well as a cozy cowl when the weather turns cooler.  It is knit using two strands throughout.  Your only decision is which three colors you want to knit it in!

Whichever one you choose, I hope you enjoy the knit and your final project!
